Offer Description
Post-doc position available at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Opole, within the National Science Center (NCN) SONATA 19 Project no. 2023/51/D/ST5/00369
“Exploring Azapyrene Derivatives as Structural Isosteres of Pyrene: Innovative Approaches to the Synthesis and Characterisation of Functional Materials Towards Efficient Fluorophores and White-Light Emitters”
Project Leader: dr hab. inż. Dawid Zych, prof. UO
The project aims to develop novel functional materials based on azapyrene derivatives—unique nitrogen-containing analogues of pyrene—tailored for advanced optoelectronic applications, including efficient fluorophores and white-light emitters. The work involves the organic synthesis of donor–acceptor chromophores, investigation of their structural, photophysical, and electrochemical properties, as well as the analysis of solvatofluorochromic behaviour and thermal responsiveness. A key aspect of the project is the development of new synthetic strategies for azapyrene scaffolds and their photophysical evaluation using advanced spectroscopic and spectroelectrochemical methods.
