The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa announces an open competition for the position of assistant professor in the group of full-time research and teaching positions at the Department of Security Sciences The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in art. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, as amended). A person with at least a doctoral degree in the field of social sciences and scientific achievements influencing the development of the scientific discipline represented by the employee may be employed in the position of assistant professor in the group of research and teaching positions, i.e.: 

1. scientific publications of national and international scope, included in parametric databases recognized by the ministry responsible for science and higher education;

2. applying as a manager in competitions for conducting scientific research financed from external sources within the meaning of the Act, obtaining foreign or domestic scholarships; 

3. achievements in the scope of organizational activity, i.e. organization or co-participation in the organization of conferences and scientific events important for the development of the discipline and having a social impact;

 4. organization or participation in various forms of international cooperation;

5. positive assessment of teaching activity confirmed by the vice-dean responsible for student and teaching affairs or possession of teaching competences that are significant for the scientific discipline represented by the employee and the teaching of the higher education institution in the scope of the field of study in which the employee will conduct classes.

In addition, candidates must meet the following conditions:

• completed higher education in security sciences or defense sciences;

• scientific achievements in the field of the represented discipline - security sciences, defense sciences in the form of original works;

• experience in conducting classes in the field of international relations, international military relations, the Armed Forces in the Polish security system, contemporary military conflicts, internal security of the Republic of Poland.
