There are a number of international donor initiatives: CARDS, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, USAID (Firm Level Assistance Group), World Bank, European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR), Urban Institute, and the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development. Significant financial support is also coming from Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Germany (BMZ), Government of the Netherlands (Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Netherlands), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ), and Switzerland, Austria.
