The Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW), Austria’s leading non-university research and science institution in Applied Mathematics, is offering
2 Postdoc Positions (f*m)
in Discrete Mathematics
(full-time, 40h per week)
for a duration of 12 months, starting on March 1, 2021.
The position within the framework of the FWF-funded project “Sums, Products, and Growth of Sets” led by Dr. Oliver Roche-Newton is affiliated with the Symbolic Computation Group at RICAM, located in Linz/Austria.
The hired person should work on problems in the fields of Additive Combinatorics and Discrete Geometry. The successful applicant will work on problems surrounding the Erdos-Szemeredi Conjecture.
- PhD degree in mathematics.
- Strong background in Discrete Mathematics and Algebra.
- Familiarity with the field of Additive Combinatorics, and in particular the Sum-Product Problem.
- English skills mandatory.

- An annual gross salary of € 54.453,00 according to the salary scheme of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF).
